FAQ
How is part-time pay calculated?
Hourly wage × hours per day × days worked, plus weekly holiday pay (weekly hours ÷ 40 × 8 × wage) for each week of 15+ hours.
Are breaks paid?
Usually not. Korea requires a 30-minute break per 4 hours and 1 hour per 8 hours (Labor Standards Act Art. 54); enter hours excluding breaks.
What is the 2026 minimum wage?
₩10,320 per hour (MOEL Notice 2025-47).
Do nights and weekends pay more?
At workplaces with 5+ employees, overtime, night (22:00–06:00) and holiday work earn an extra 50% (Art. 56). Add that separately.
Is tax deducted?
Depends on how the employer reports it (3.3% business income, daily-worker income or social insurance). This shows pay before deductions.
